We are a team of high school students from the Nueva School, united by our enthusiasm for engineering and innovative design aimed at solving real-world challenges. Observing the prevalent issue of mental health, particularly the widespread occurrence of anxiety disorders among teenagers, we were inspired to harness our skills in app development, machine learning, and outreach to devise a solution. Our aspiration is to extend our impact to schools across America and beyond, with the ambition of creating a lasting positive effect on global mental health. Through our work at SAFETY, we have gained national recognition, receiving 3rd place in the 2023 Congressional App Challenge, surpassing 11,000+ competitors in California's 15th District. As well as advancing to the Finals (Top 20) round of the Diamond Challenge, beating out over 800 other teams.
